Engineering the systems that move value on-chain

We are a senior engineering partner for exchanges, funds and protocols — designing, building and securing the smart contracts, trading systems and AI infrastructure that institutional capital depends on.

Trusted by trading firms, exchanges and DeFi protocols across seven networks.

How we deliver

A disciplined path from idea to production

No surprises, no vapourware. Every engagement follows the same rigorous, transparent process — instrumented and reviewed at each stage.

  1. 01

    Discovery & architecture

We map the problem, threat model, and economic design before a line of code is written, producing a reference architecture and delivery plan.

  2. 02

    Specification & design

Protocol mechanics, data models and interfaces are specified in detail and reviewed with your team, removing ambiguity ahead of build.

  3. 03

    Implementation

Senior engineers build in tight increments with continuous integration, comprehensive test coverage and weekly demos.

  4. 04

    Audit & hardening

Internal review, fuzzing, invariant testing and coordination with third-party auditors precede any value moving on-chain.

  5. 05

    Launch & operate

We ship to production with monitoring, incident runbooks and on-call support, then iterate against real usage and metrics.

Security first

Security is the product, not a phase

On-chain, mistakes are immutable and exploits are permanent. We treat security as a first-class engineering concern from the first whiteboard session — not a box ticked before launch.

Zero funds lost to vulnerabilities across protocols we have shipped and operate.

Defense-in-depth reviews

Every contract passes internal review, automated analysis and fuzzing before external audit — no exceptions.

Invariant & property tests

We encode protocol invariants as executable properties, catching economic and re-entrancy edge cases the compiler never will.

Key & custody discipline

Hardware-backed signing, multisig governance and least-privilege deployment pipelines protect upgrade and treasury keys.

Monitoring & response

Real-time on-chain monitoring, circuit breakers and rehearsed incident runbooks keep production systems observable and recoverable.

In their words

What partners say about working with us

“They rebuilt the most critical part of our exchange under live load, and somehow made it look routine. We never lost a trading session thanks to the shadow cut-over, and p99 match latency went from over 200 milliseconds to under 40. I have not worked with a more disciplined engineering team.”

Elena Sørensen
Chief Technology Officer, Meridian Exchange

“We were issuing a regulated tokenised fund, and a single reconciliation break would have sunk it. The contract suite they delivered passed audit with zero critical findings, and the operations tooling is something our administrator actually trusts. Hundreds of millions of euros settled on-chain since, and not one break.”

Marcus Reinholt
Managing Partner, Lattice Capital

“Porting concentrated liquidity to Solana is hard, and most teams badly underestimate it. These guys knew the account model and the compute budget cold. They shipped a program with no high-severity audit findings and a router that quotes against centralised venues, and we have since cleared billions in volume on top of it.”

Questions

Frequently asked

The questions teams ask us most often before an engagement. Don't see yours? Reach out — we answer directly.

We focus on production blockchain, DeFi, trading, and AI systems for institutional and venture-backed clients: matching engines and exchange infrastructure, smart-contract suites for tokenisation and DeFi, decentralised exchanges, trading bots and execution agents, and the APIs and platforms around them. We are most useful on engagements where correctness, security, and performance genuinely matter — not on quick token launches or speculative meme projects.

Both. Some clients engage us to deliver a defined system end to end, say a settlement contract suite or a matching-engine rebuild, with a written architecture and acceptance criteria. Others embed our engineers alongside their own team for a quarter or more to build capability and then hand it over. We recommend whichever model fits the problem, and we spell out the choice in the proposal.

On-chain we work primarily with Ethereum and the EVM ecosystem (Solidity, Foundry) and with Solana (Rust, Anchor). For high-performance off-chain systems like matching engines, routers and market-data, we favour Rust, with Python for quantitative and AI workloads. We try to stay pragmatic about the stack. The right tool for a settlement contract is rarely the right tool for a low-latency execution path, so we pick per problem.

Yes. We routinely sign mutual NDAs before discovery and are comfortable working under enterprise master-services agreements, with the usual provisions on IP assignment, confidentiality, and data handling. For regulated clients we can accommodate additional controls around access, key management, and audit trails.

Every engagement begins with a focused discovery phase. We map the assets at stake, the regulatory and operational constraints, the systems we have to interoperate with, and the failure modes you most fear. The output is a written architecture and threat model you sign off on before any substantive build begins. We will not quote a firm number off a one-paragraph brief. Discovery is where the requirements nobody wrote down tend to surface.

Wherever we replace a system that is already in production, we run the new one in shadow mode first. A new matching engine processes real order flow alongside the incumbent and reconciles every fill to byte-for-byte equality before it routes any live volume. Cut-over after that is gradual, reversible and feature-flagged, done pair by pair or venue by venue, with a fast path back to the old system if anything looks wrong. Done well, go-live is a non-event.

A system your team can run, watch and recover without us. That means runbooks, dashboards covering the latency and reconciliation metrics that matter, alerting, an incident-response process, and full source with documentation. We would rather over-invest in observability and handover than leave you dependent on us to keep the thing running.

You get a dedicated point of contact, a shared backlog, and a regular written and live cadence — typically weekly demos against the agreed acceptance criteria plus async updates. Architecture decisions are documented as they are made, so the rationale is available to your team, your auditors, and your regulators without anyone having to reconstruct it later.
